Riddhi Mehar performing classical dance

Guiding Light: Meet our Mentor

Riddhi Mehar (Founder, Anaadikriti) is an accomplished dancer specializing in Kathak and Bharatanatyam with over 22 years of expertise training. A second-generation Kathak dancer, Riddhi began her journey at the age of six, learning under the tutelage of her father and guru, Shri Bhupesh Mehar. To further fine-tune Riddhi's progress, her father passed the baton to SNA Awardee Guru Pt. Rajendra Gangani, under whom she continued to hone her craft & became a dedicated disciple of his gurukul legacy. Her performing arts training spans the Jaipur Gharana of Kathak, the Mysore Bani and Kalakshetra styles of Bharatanatyam, complemented by formal training in Hindustani and Carnatic music traditions.

Riddhi is a B-high grade Doordarshan artist, a CCRT scholarship recipient, and an alumna of Kathak Kendra, New Delhi. She holds a Master's degree in Kathak from Raja Mansingh Tomar Gwalior University and a Kathak Nritya-Alankar from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. She also earned an MA in Political Science and International Relations from Delhi University, enabling her to infuse social narratives into her performances and create powerful, resonant art.
